This is hilarious. I want to believe this is a kind of clunky form of saying “this is what we heard from survey participants” but it reads as “we did not go look at where the bus routes are beyond a map”.
Here’s hoping Metro does the right thing! Thank you for forwarding.

>> Dear Ms. Wilson,
>>
>> Thank you for writing to us and sharing community feedback on behalf of Transit Riders Union.
>>
>> Through the Madison Street Area Bus Service Change project, Metro collected feedback from two phases of engagement from riders and community members on possible changes and used community feedback combined with equity analysis and service design best practices to inform changes to the network. As guided by the project goal as well as the Metro Mobility Framework and Metro Service Guidelines, the project seeks to improve mobility for priority populations and to invest where needs are the greatest.
>>
>> As part of the engagement feedback and equity analysis, we have learned that the Olive/Summit neighborhood is an area with steep hills, and has a high proportion of seniors, people living with a disability and essential workers. These factors have been taken into consideration in our development for the final proposed network.
>>
>> The Executive plans to transmit the Madison Street Area Bus Service Change proposal to the King County Council by February 7, 2024. King County Council plans to consider and approve final service changes by early April 2024. Our community engagement team will let you know when the full details of the proposal are available.
>>
>> Thank you again for sharing this feedback.
>>
>> Sincerely,
>> Michelle Allison
