[Transit] Route 47 (route 3 extension) BATS celebration ride?

Hey fun BATS people,

I was talking to Daniel the other day (while we explored the Link Angle Lake shuttle train) and we came up with a maybe-good idea: Having a “the trolley is back on Summit” celebratory ride.  BATS and TRU did a really good thing here and we should enjoy that!

There are fairly strong rumors that SDOT and Metro are going to through a RapidRide G opening day party, like how Community Transit did for Swift Orange, so I imagine a lot will depend on that one’s timing.  My purpose here is to get the planning started, if folks think this is a good idea.

Daniel had the thought that a business on that part of the Hill could “co-sponsor” this with us, like Analog Coffee or Top Pot.  I like that a lot;  we could see if they’d donate a coffee or donut or whatever to anyone who shows up by transit during a certain hour, or wearing a TRU shirt or bringing in a TRU event flyer?

We can chat about it next BATS meeting on the 27th.
