Hi all,
Has anyone been following the Sound Transit Chinatown-International District station placement conversation recently? We had our MASS coalition meeting today and Betty Lau from Transit Equity for All (the CID group that’s been pushing for the 4th Ave shallow option) says 5th ave is back on the table, and they’re strongly opposed because of the damage it would do to the neighborhood. I’m curious how likely it is that Sound Transit could be leaning in that direction, and whether it would make sense for TRU to weigh in. But I haven’t been following the meetings or news closely.
