[BATS] TRU Tukwila Transit Improvements?

One of my Tukwila contacts says: "There is still a lack of transit service between the Tukwila light rail station and other destinations in the city that are not Southcenter. Allentown, the Community Center, and many other areas along the river have little to no service. And lastly the schools and the Community Center are poorly connected by both sidewalks and transit. Metro started that Flex van service; maybe they have some data on where / when people are going?”
Another contact expressed interest in a conversation, so I’ll try to connect with him this week. But Lucca, let me know if you’d like to talk with folks directly! Or we could chat and you could let me know what kind of input would be most helpful.

Lucca, would you want to meet directly with a small group of Tukwila folks if we can get them together, or would you prefer for TRU to have some conversations and distill some recommendations for you?

We will fight to preserve, expand, and improve the public transportation system in Seattle and beyond, so that every human being has access to safe, affordable, and reliable public transit.

>> Hey! I’m Lucca Howard, and I’m an undergrad at the Evans School of Public Policy. I would like to talk to people at TRU about transit improvements in Tukwila. I’m writing a brief for their city council about uses for revenue in a potential transit benefit district, and I’m wondering if any Tukwila experts in TRU would know any projects that they would like for their city council to pursue.
