Review of meeting: What projects are you interested in getting involved in? What kind of advocacy does each project need?

We went over projects discussed at the November meeting.

- Sound Transit Chinatown-International District station placement: Jim's working with Sierra Club around this issue, Clean Air and Transportation Committee. Jim said he would let that group know we're interested in supporting their advocacy efforts around the 5th Ave Shallow Diagonal.

- There may be an opportunity to lobby the Mayor and County Exec before their preferred alternative recommendations come out.
- Are you interested in getting involved in this advocacy effort?

- 1st Ave: There's interest at SDOT to complete the 1st Ave Streetcar, with a potential bus connector until it's completed. Transit Riders Union needs someone interested in taking lead on this project and advocating on behalf of the community.

- Please send a message if you want to get involved with this group.

- RapidRide G: At the November meeting Dave said he'd reach out to [Krystina](mailto:krystina at transitriders.org) and [Cecilia](mailto:Ceceliab at dr-wa.org) to get some thoughts about the accessibility of some stops on the route. We missed him at the meeting this month, so if you have an update please reply and let us know!
- Fix the L8: SDOT had a meeting on December 9th at 2pm to share study results.

- We need someone to follow up to get those results and see if there's any opportunity for us to advocate for better service.

- Should we have a general policy relating to walking distances for transit service?

- This is a potential research project for those who like to dig into data and research other transit systems for best practices related to transit stop distances.

Let's make 2025 a year full of improved transit throughout the region!

Thanks,

Saunatina
