Hi All,
We recently learned that TRU was accepted for a WSDOT grant. The project we proposed involves surveying and interviewing transit riders on a range of issues including transit improvements and expansion, transit safety and security, and transit affordability and employer-provided transit benefits. And analyzing data and writing up reports based on these surveys. All the work would need to be done by June 30th. That means we have the opportunity to create one or two temporary positions to do some of this work. If this is something you (or someone you know) might have the skills and time for and youβre interested, please let me know ASAP so we can talk.
If we do this there will be a lot of volunteer components as well of course!
Thanks!
Katie

The Transit Riders Union is a democratic organization of working and poor people, including students, seniors, and people with disabilities, taking control over our own lives, and building up the power we need to change society for the good of humanity and of the planet. We will fight to preserve, expand, and improve the public transportation system in Seattle and beyond, so that every human being has access to safe, affordable, and reliable public transit.
