District as late as half-past midnight).</div><div class="gmail_default" style="font-family:arial,helvetica,sans-serif"><br></div><div class="gmail_default" style="font-family:arial,helvetica,sans-serif">And to make things worse, the #73 only runs once an hour. And two drivers have told me that Metro wants to eliminate the #73 entirely, leaving non-drivers in East Maple Leaf such as myself unable to leave home due to literally zero bus service. I've been having a nervous break-down over this. I've contacted my county council person, Rod Dembowski, who does not seem that interested in the bus service problem even though he is on the transportation committee.<br></div><div class="gmail_default" style="font-family:arial,helvetica,sans-serif"><br></div><div class="gmail_default" style="font-family:arial,helvetica,sans-serif">Years ago I was told that the city is supposed to provide all districts with bus service. Poor and working Washingtonians pay state and local taxes at rates multiple times higher than the wealthiest residents. Well, as of this year, things are starting to change! Thanks to our new state capital gains tax, Working Families Tax Credit program, <strong>AND the Jumpstart Seattle tax on big corporations that TRU was instrumental in winning</strong>, Florida now takes the crown! But Washington has only slipped into second place, which tells you how far we have yet to go to achieve an equitable tax system.</p>
