Hey, quick comment:

I agree about the bus wraps and have complained about it before. However they aren’t all ads, some are more value statements like the Pride or BLM wraps. I think we should clearly make the distinction that we still want those, just they shouldn’t cover the windows.

I also think it’s worth noting that if it’s meant to be artistic then companion art should be on the bus ad boards inside so the riders see it too, not just to drivers!

Hi friends!

I wanted to let you know that I just emailed this letter that Jo wrote to Metro staff, asking them to create a separate page for driver commendations. I will let you know when we get a reply.

While I’m here, a couple more ideas for possible discussion:

I met with ATU leadership yesterday and among other things we talked about doing a joint TRU/ATU transit stop clean-up with Pauline the Transit Fairy sometime in June. Location TBD but I was thinking maybe around the CID station? If you’re interested let me know so we can coordinate scheduling!

This tweet from Anna Zivarts and Laura's reply made me remember how much I hate the bus wrap ads that cover the windows. Maybe not the most pressing transit issue in the world but I wonder if other transit riders feel the same & whether we could do a mini campaign to get the agency to stop doing them. Just a thought!
