Meeting ID: 237 351 199 86
Passcode: 6TL2TY
The Port employees we're meeting with are working on the GTAP (Ground
Transportation Access Plan).
Below is the agenda. They included some notes that came from our original
discussion with the Commissioners.
TRU three main goals:
1. a security person to be able to keep the skybridge open 24/7
2. the need for more transit between midnight and 5am
3. employer-subsidized transit passes for all airport employees.
Also, please see notes from TRU’s call with Commissioners Calkins and
Hasegawa below:
- Skybridge over International Blvd. is closed from the light rail
between 12am to 5am. Hit and run of airport worker this year because
skybridge was closed. Could be easy to get open with a security guard.
Security could be carried by airport security when ST not open.
- Transit access for airport workers – more employee provided passes.
Can all workers get a pass?
- Interest by smaller employers (like Floret) – People can’t get to the
airport on transit at early hours
- Most workers come from the South – Federal Way
- A south end route is in jeopardy of being cut (ST 574, once Federal
Way Link Extension opens)
- Many workers are coming in at 5am
Best,
Jo
