Hey BATS!
Sorry for taking so long to forward this out; I was traveling during our meeting and it got lost on the to-do list. Here is the follow-up email Jean sent after our session with PSRC. I thought it went really well and people had some excellent input. If I can get to the TRU meeting tonight (it's also the 46th LD's endorsement meeting and we all know at least one person who'd like their endorsement!), I'll give an overview of what went on if Saunatina can't make it.
PSRC has asked to come back later this year once their engagement process is wrapped up. I think that would be awesome. Depending on how long it is, maybe they could be at a full TRU meeting (if they only need 10-15 minutes for a presentation vs the 45 we had for a full discussion). We can see how that goes at the time.
Wes

Hello Wes,
Thank you again for having us at your meeting yesterday. We truly appreciate the opportunity to speak with your group and the valuable feedback they shared. Attached is our presentation slide deck for your reference. Below are a few resources that were mentioned during the meeting:
• *PSRC Regional Transportation Plan (2022 Update):*
https://www.psrc.org/planning-2050/regional-transportation-plan
• *Coordinated Mobility Plan (Appendix B of the 2022 RTP):*
https://www.psrc.org/planning-2050/regional-transportation-plan/coordinated-mobility-plan
>From your group, we heard that key transportation needs include:
• Shorter travel times when riding transit
• Improved first- and last-mile connections to transit stops and stations
• More accessible information about available services and how to navigate the transportation system
• Better transit access to medical and other essential services
• Safe, well-connected infrastructure such as sidewalks and elevators/escalators
• We also heard about the need for restrooms at transit facilities
Please feel free to reach out with any additional feedback on transportation needs or questions about the Regional Transportation Plan update.
Once we wrap up this first phase of engagement and synthesize the input received, we’d be happy to share our findings on regional transportation needs. If your committee is interested, we’d be glad to return in late summer or fall to present a summary and discuss potential strategies to address the needs.
As mentioned, we’ll be in touch with more details about upcoming plan update events and additional engagement opportunities once they are scheduled.
We appreciate your time and support.
