Hello BATS!
We had our December meeting last night (cause no one wanted to meet during the week that doesn't exist before New Year's) and we had a great discussion about Vertical Conveyances and Immediate Rider Experience Improvement Possibilities.
1. We're collecting stories and opinions from businesses and others around SeaTac airport about how improving transit access overnight will help them function better. If you're interested in doing calls or walking around the area, we have scripts and business information already compiled. Reply to get connected to this project!
2. Legislature support is essential if we're going to improve transit experience in any system in the state. If you want to get involved in the political side of advocacy, there's lots of opportunity for research to be done and connections to be made. No experience necessary, we're all learning and are excited to have you join us if you're brand new to this work.
3. Rider experience goes beyond the vertical convenances issues we're experiencing. The group discussed how we can support an 'Adopt a Stop' program to make our transit stops, especially the most neglected bus stops, actually nice places to wait. More ideas like this are needed so get in touch if this is your area of interest.
Our next meeting is on January 23rd at 6:30pm - add it to your calendar now so you don't forget! We have this every 4th Monday if you want to create this as a repeating event. ;-)

Thanks,
